Blue Star Moms of Durango is for parents, family members and friends of service men and women who are currently serving or who have served our country.

Blue Star Mom's of Durango are made up of parents who now have, or have had, children honorably serving in the military.

We are a non-profit (501[c]3) service organization supporting each other and our children while promoting patriotism.

U.S. Code: Title 36; Section 943, as of January 26, 1998.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-political organization. We do not support any political candidate, nor do we endorse any religious organization.

The military represents all aspects of America

We meet the first Monday of each month at the
VFW located at 1550 Main Ave, Durango from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
We also put care packages together for our troops about every other month

We hold several fund raisers every year as well as participating in the 4th of July Parades in Bayfield and Durango as well as the Veteran's Day Parade in Durango.

We place flags at the Greenmount Cemetery each Memorial Day and July 4th in honor of our fallen veterans.

Our new annual Healing Fields - Remembering our fallen loved ones
during Memorial Day weekend at Santa Rita Park in Durango

Our other new tradition for Durango the Wreaths Across America honoring America’s fallen veterans. National Wreaths Across America Day is held every December and we are proud to say we began joining and supporting this incredible event in Durango in 2020
